Default Wtb: lower oil pan for 95 SC300

Do you need the gasket or the oil pan its self? If you need an oil pan how did you manage that? It must be cracked, or dented or something. If youre talking about the gasket, theyre cheap.

had a coupon for tire rotation & oil change to a local mechanic for $20. really needed the tire rotation. anyway he said i needed mine to be replaced. now that you pose this question, i'll get a 2nd opinion. but just in case i really need one, please let me know if anyone has one for sale. thanks.

Im 99.9% positive he was talking about the gasket which often leak. having a damaged oil pan is really rare and there is no since in buying another one. Just take that oil pan off and replace the gasket (get at autozone wont be more than $20). If that .1 chance is true, then PM Aliga for an oil pan. He will have one. He is a great guy too.

you just need the gasket, unless your lower pan is dent in so bad and has hole in it.....

thanks guys...to fix the leak he wanted to charge $350, $300 for parts and $50 for labor. i'll know not to go back to the guy.

Bet he stripped the oil drain plug, thats why he wants to replace it.
