Default sc400 mASS AIRFLOW SENSOR

He is kind of right. The housing on the 4.0 has a larger inlet but the sensor itself is the same part number. Fuji electric only made one sensor of this type. Good luck and sorry for the missunderstanding.

Default SC400 Mass airflow sensor

Food for thought. 7M turbo, Pre1997 SC 3.0 N/A, SC 4.0 N/A, LS 4.0 All share the same Mass airflow sensor assy. The aluminum housings are all diferent but the sensor is the same and can be interchanged by removing the 4 screws of the plastic sensor. Check the part numbers youl see they match.

Did you replace the maf and then reset the ecu before you drive it? You may have to drive it for a while before it works. I replaced the black box on my sc300 before, and the idling was poor and it kept jump up and down between 0-1000rpm. After a while it stopped and starting work normally. That's my experience.
