Mine is dragging too. I'm pretty sure it is attached by a bolt and washer.
It might be possible to ghetto rig it, by bolting a long rectangular strip to hold up the plaster cover. You'd have to drill a hole through the strip and attach it with the bolt and washer. Just an idea.
Let me know if you come up with any other fixes.
I just wish I could find a used one and get this over with!
