Guys,

I am tentatively looking for a replacement engine for my 93 SC400. From what I understand, the harness is different between the Traction Control and the non--traction control. Although my TRAC doesn't work, I still need the harness with traction.

I will need it shipped to zip 74114. If u r quoting me without shipping, can u give me a ballpark of how much shipping will be.

I will most likely be selling the car after it is put in so I am not looking for any upgrades.

Who can give me the best deal?? Gazi - I know u got something for me!!!

i know one guy who has an engine with about 160K on it, tell me what you want to offer him, and i will ask him. he is in ny, so shipping on the tranny is on you.

Yeah,

I have spoken to the guy about it. Shipping will be $200 which is a lot. But then again the engine is pretty heavy!! I have made him an offer so I hope it doesn't sell and he gives it to me.

Well I am looking at the one on ebay for $600 shipped with 113k on it so tell him if he can make me a decent price on it then I may be interested. This one also comes with a 90 day warranty. Does ur friend has a compression test for it?

not really a friend, but a local guy who got into a similar mess as you.

went to a mechanic for a tuneup, paid 1500 for a spark plug change and o2 sensors.

he then has a problem with his starter, and rather than paying 400 to fix the starter, he would like my brother to install an engine with 60K on it for a total of 1300 with labor and parts.

his engine currently with 160K is running fine, so let me know how much you want to pay, but you should look into shipping it first.

and it has been there for a while, i remember seeing it couple of months back

telling you man, buy a whole wrecked car for couple of grand or maybe even less, swap everything onto your shell and you will have a keeper
