"04 Availability and Prices
#17
the last quote that i got online mind you was for $58,300. I haven't had a chance to talk to my connection from the dealership, but i figure i can get them down to $57,000 since i've sold my soul to Lexus (already owned 6 of them). I'll keep everyone posted.
p.s. I'm in the Miami area. There are 3 Lexus dealerships here and they tend to be very competitive as they know if they don't retain you as a customer, you'll happily drive to the next dealership and as long as they beat the price you'll buy from them... I LOVE COMPETITION!

I've never found Lexus of Pembroke Pines to be competitive. I purchased my '03 SC430 from them only because they were the only dealership that had the Silver/Saddle combination. You would think that might give me some credibility on future purchases, but when I went back to them to buy an RX300 with an offer advertised by Lexus of Kendall, I was told "We can't match it. Come back and see us if you aren't treated well." Guess what?... I bought the RX300 from Lexus of Kendall.
Lexus of Pembroke Pines' sister company, County Line Lexus, misquoted me a couple of years back on a GS430, saying they'd allow $20,000 against my leased Acura TL. I kept telling the salesman that there must be some mistake, that it was leased, and that there was no way I could have that much equity in it. He kept telling me not to worry, so I was all over the deal. When I got down to signing paperwork with their finance manager, they had overcharged me by $18,000 and "whited out" a zero put in by the salesman. (They were going to allow me $2,000... not $20,000). When I confronted him, the salesman just laughed and said "we were one zero off". I walked out and never went back.
Bottom line... three of my Lexuses over the past few years have been purchased from JM Lexus. They gave me an unbelievable deal on this last one and a great trade-in on my SC. In addition, the salesman who sold the car also did the finances. In my experience, buying there is a smooth process, they have a great selection, and the atmosphere is much more professional than the "carnival atmosphere" at the dealerships mentioned earlier. They also provide service after the sale that is FAR superior to that of Lexus of Pembroke Pines.
If you're in the market... Just my Two Cents!

I bought my LX from JM Lexus. They trucked it out to me. It was a great deal. In Colorado, you can't buy a 4X4, especially a Lexus 4X4 cheap. I was treated very fairly by them. I tried to buy my SC from them. Although, I think convertibles in Florida are kind of like 4X4s in Colorado. I will always give them the first chance at any of my future Lexus purchases.

I bought all my cars from Lexus of Kendall, except for my current GS300. Lexus of Kendall was quoting me an outrageous price, so I called JM and Countyline and they beat it by almost 200 bucks. I ended up going to Countyline since it's closer to me (South Florida). They were both nice, although I frequent Lexus of Kendall because it's 10 minutes away from me. Overall though, except for that 1 incident, Lexus of Kendall has given me the best price... I hope they keep it up. This weekend I'll be out of town, but next week I'm going shopping!!!!
p.s. I'm hoping to get a '04 SC430 with nav, spoiler and run craps for 57K. Hence my online price was 58,300 from them, i think I can manage to work them for an additional 1300. That would make my lease payments in the range that I want.

Regarding Lindsay Lexus, I was pleased with Tom Lane in their Sales Dept. I'd suggest you look into the pre-negociated discounts of Costco and several of the local large Credit Unions (e.g., Navy Federal) if the dealer is trying to get MSRP on a popular vehicle.
