Smile ".......I Hope You Dance!......."

Over the Holidays, I rented a New Jaguar XK8 (Blk / Blk / Blk) Convertible, and drove it for a week all over Florida, putting close to 1,500 miles on it, and hand washing it serveral times. Wiping it down with an new Spray-On / Wipe-Off Product that I found in the BMW Monthy Magazine "Roundel" called "OPTIMUM CAR WAX ("www.optproducts.com"), with a couple of their special cloths, it was as if when you first gluided your hand over one of your most "Ultimate Lovers", as the seductive curves and sensious appearance that unfolded with each stroke of your hand, captured your heart, and soul!

Sadly, I detailed my Blk / Saddle/ Gold Package SC 430 for the last time, and slowly drove her over to the local Jaguar Dealer, who had pre-arranged a sale with their "sister" Lexus Store, and pressed the 3-Note Trumpet Horns for the last time. With just 6,607 miles on her, she should pass for a new one, for perhaps $6 K - $8 K less than an '03, with a $1 K discount.

Following a very amicable but suprising Divorce after nearly 36 Years, I have the Fall to look forward to, and the Delivery of an '04 XKR (Blk / Blk / Blk) Convertible, with the 4.2 Supercharged V8.

Looking back over all of my Sport Convertibles, from the '91 Miata, '95 Bmw 325. '01BMW 330, and this remarkable '02 SC 430, I must say that for the money, this Lexus was the "Ultimate Luxury / Performance Driving Machine" available on the Domestic Market for the money today - bar none! Luxury, Performance, Understated Elegance, Build / Design Quality, and Resale Value, the SC 430 continues to be the True Standard of the World, in World Class Automotive Design, and Overall Quality.

As I move on, and upward to the XKR, I will remember very fondly, my times and experiences with my Lexus, as well as the wit and intelligence of those Members and Contributors of this very unique and interesting Web Site. I have leaned much from our enjoined experiences, and love of this Top Quality Automotive Success Story, as well as treasured memories of all of our comradary.

Following my Delivery of the XKR, and the upgrade to Brembo Slotted / Drilled Brakes with Black Calipers, and Debadging of both the Side Markers, as well as the Left and Right Deck Lid Emblems, I will be happy to share my detailing and driving experiences with all of you, if so invited.

In the meantime, soft pavement-strips, and full-synthetic revs!

Captivating story. You're a great writer. I don't know whether to say congrats or sorry to hear that. Truely a bittersweet story. As far as I am concerned, you are always welcome at CL. Your experiences can only educate us as well.

My dad has a 2002 XK8. The check engine light is always on. He took it in to get "fixed" but its still there so he said screw it since its leased. If they dont care either does he.
