Default Headline with a mind of its own.

OK Guys, on my 2007 SC 430 I have a passenger headline that appears to have a mind of its own. It works intermittently. I know that it is programmed to go off when the car is in park, but that is not what I'm talking about. When I start the car after dark both sides will be on but at some point the passenger side will go out, not all the time, but quite ofte. I have checked for loos wires but have not found any. I have a NY state inspection next month and would like some help before my Lexus dealer hands me a bill for God knows how much to fix this problem. Thanks for your help in advance.

Headlights right? I think your ballast is overheated and may need to be replaced.

I don't know for sure but it should be right below the headlight bulb where there's a small box that house it.

I have 2007 also and have the same problem and also the passenger side. One day it will work and some just won't, sort of like a 50/50 chance!

Already bought replacement bulbs for both but I'm afraid that is not the problem. What a coincidence cause I was worried about state inspection that will expire this end of the month. So the other day, tried it and it's one of those days where it seems like it's working so I drove it to a non busy state inspection bay and the inspector waving at me to drive it in inside the bay and of course I drove it in with the headlights on and never turned it off. Got my new sticker and yes I would like to fix this problem.
