Seems like there are a variety of cool toggle switches I could use as well. Also saw a video about getting power from fuse box. So simple just stick a wire in lol

How do you all suggest I should mount the rocker/toggle switch? I found this on amazon:

Amazon.com: 1 Single Rocker Switch Panel Housing Switch Holder Black Plastic: Automotive Amazon.com: 1 Single Rocker Switch Panel Housing Switch Holder Black Plastic: Automotive

Do switches fit in this?

would you like me to look in the wiring diagram to find a power location that switches on and off with key (ACC)?
Without looking, the cigar lighter and the console should have this type of power.
Hey Buddy,
Thanks for the comment. Depending on the length of the wires for the senors, I may need to tap into a power source in the engine bay. Are you able to find a 12v power source in the engine bay, that is somewhere between the grommet and license plate? Thanks!

I found a location controlled by the ignition switch and will post the information in about about 1.5hrs.

Lex, I found a location in the engine compartment.

The ignition switch controls power to these Fuses.

As you can see, it is located in front of the master cylinder.

Note the 5amp and 10amp fuses that are side by side and closer to the master cylinder. You can choose one of these two. The new power wire must connect to the bottom side of the fuse in the picture or the side that is closer to the two bottom fuses, the 7.5amp and 10amp. Because the bottom side is the fused side

Now if you are going to supply your own fuse, you would use the top side of the 5&10amp fuses. I would recommend for you to go this way. That way if your sensors have an issue, they will not blow the use that controls the components in you car.

Here is the first of three pics from the wiring manual. Note, I am pointing out the fuses you want to use.

Your fuses are located in the upper right of the diagram. Follow the wire back to the left and you will see that they go to the IG2 Relay, IG=ignition.

Your fuses are located in on the top of the page and you follow the wires down the page. The 5amp goes to the ECM, I believe it tells the ECM that the ignition switch is in the on position. The 10amp goes to the injectors and the other side of the injectors go to the ECM, I believe the ECM applies a ground to the injectors when it wants them to supply fuel.

Okay, WAY to deep on theory. ;-)

I suggested using an add-a-fuse to that engine fuse box so that way you would never worry about tripping a critical electrical component of the car. Its also slim enough to allow the fuse box to close properly. As for how to set your switch, a simple toggle switch to act as an interrupt on the power should suffice. A constant ground shouldnt be an issue, either.

I suggested the same thing in my response because if the if the new circuit blows one of these fuses, it will make the car shutdown.

OH I understand now...the fuse tap is beneficial because if the fuse blew stuff wouldnt get messed up..and that is the reason why I dont just stick the wire in the fuse.

THANKS for the clarrification :-)

Yes sir, you have it!!!

A fuse tap may be just what you are looking for!

And since it does a 90 degree, I think it will fit under the cover!
