I think he just added PB emblems, etc., to a regular SC. If you are happy with the car, that's all that matters!

I'll ask him tomorrow and tell him they did not come in this color in 06. He could have Painted it diamond eye black.

There's no way that I know to identify it as a PB or not via vin number.

I did input the vin in drivers.lexus.com it shows as a 2006 in Onyx Black from factory. there should be some way of identifying the original interior color. As far as I know RED was not an option in 2006. RED was the interior color of the 2005 & 2007 PB.

2005 PB Black Diamond paint / Red (Pimento) interior
2006 PB Tiger Eye Mica paint / Camel interior
2007 PB white paint / Red (Pimento) interior.

Regardless. I'm not aware of any Lexus SC430 standard or PB that came with a Red or anything other than a black dashboard.

The car you have is beautiful.

And that's all that really matters. Additionally, those wheels really compliment the black/red color combo. Well done!

Supatrucka,

Go to http://drivers.lexus.com and register. Then enter your vin number and you can get 3 pages of detailed service history of your car.

If for any reason you end up taking a wheel off, there might be a engraving on the inside with the manufacturer and/or model number. Worth a try. The two tone of the wheel is awesome and really works well with the unique interior.

Can you indicate the link at drivers.lexus.com you found a VIN lookup tool? I couldn't find the VIN lookup page..

The Club LExus VIN lookup tool definitely dates the car as a 2006, meaning that it is not a PB given that color combo.

It does say it's black. I will pick his brain tomorrow and find out what the heck it really is. He did say to me you will never see another one like it.
