I agree with the above also. You have to be real careful with the Slime approach because most of those type products will cause malfunctions with the TPMS. Some folks carry repair kits and a pump rather than a spare. However, it does seem that our tires seem to be more vulnerable to flats that are not repairable.

I carry a spare. I hate to lose the trunk space also, but it is a chance that I'd prefer to take. The car and trunk can still carry quite a load. (I can't remember whether it was JohnnyCake or Habious that posted a picture of all the "stuff" he managed to load into his car, along with a spare but it was quite impressive.)

I used some tire slime that was TPMS safe (stated on the can). When I got to the shop to change the tire, they didn't say anything about trouble with the TPMS being clogged or any other problems.
