Default Need help with my roof top not opening!

My roof will not open. When I press the button, it only opens the rear trunk and could hear the roof motor unlocking functioning, but will not open. It only opens about a couple to few inches and stops. It seems tho it's going to open, but gets stuck.
Need help!

Do the quarter Windows go down when trunk opens?

Check your fuses in trunk. I had similar problem today and it turned out to be the 3rd 20amp fuse blown.

Good luck.

The quarter window rolls down and the trunk opens up while holding the button down for the roof, but the roof doesn't retracts. It opens and unlocks both left and right, but the rear windshield part doesn't open.
I might need to try opening it up manually and go from there. I have seen on other posts, that there was a cable or some sort got misaligned? Which? Please give me some advice or some pics to see which?
Would really appreciate it.

Mine did that same thing. It was under an extended warranty at the time so I took it to Lexus. They said a cable came off. DON'T force the top open. You can try manually opening it per the Lexus manual and see if yours is the cable. Another friend of mine has an 02 and his problem was a bad motor.
Best of luck with this

It's finally fixed! There was a cable that came off the bracket that holds it in place. It did not disengage the lock mechanism. I just simply attached it back and it disengaged. It functions as it should now.

Wasn't able to take any pics. If however there is a problem with the top, just take both side covers from the trunk area and inspect all the cables that's attached to it. It looks like those bicycle brake cables. Make sure those moving parts thats attached to the cables are in the right place.
