this is what I can't understand 575+ to tell you the tire pressure is low and you get nothing for 575+ but tell you the tires are low. I payed 725 for my Lithium Battery 7.7 lbs and took off 42.2 lbs off the front of my car lighter. to me I got the deal for my money. just try to take 42.2 lbs off your cars.

For my 2005, I am 100% certain that in addition to getting the color coded sensors ( assuming new ), you need to program them into the car and a typical Lexus dealer charges about $100 for it.

What if you have the Tech Stream software and cable, Can you do the programming yourself?
Has anyone tried other?

I've got to about half a dozen different tire stores and mechanics (one did have TechStream) and still was unable to program the TPMS sensors. Thus, I feel like every "shortcut" is just a waste of time and money running around all over town. Lexus has it, and in this instance is worth biting the bullet. Trust me. I hate going to the stealership but on this one there's no other option.
PS it helps to write down the location of the sensor, the color, and the numbers on each respective sensor (model #, serial #, and some other #) if you intend to mount and balance at a place other than Lexus. I did this and they didn't charge for the mount and balance at the dealership.

With the Techstream I took the pictures I had taken of the TPMS units and added the IDs to the 2nd set of sensors and switched the button under the glove box to the 2nd set and everything was good.
It's not intuitive to find where you add the sensors in the Techstream software but took less time to find that then it took to find the reset & TPMS set switches.

All righty, here's a PDF of how to program a 2nd set of TPMS sensors (or you could use the same technique for replacing your primary ones) using the Techstream software and the cheap Amazon cable.
