Default Radio antenna connector sizes

SC430 has 2 different size radio antenna plugs (1 for windshield and 1 for rear telescoping antenna) that plug into the back of the existing radio. The telescoping antenna is a standard Motorola plug size but does anyone know the size of the smaller one so I can adapt a y connector to plug into my new pioneer head unit (it only has one antenna input) in order to utilize both antennas on the car. I've checked around at various stores and no one has a clue of what I'm talking about.
Thanks

I modified both antenna inputs behind the radio so I can switch primary and secondary antennae inputs (ie. windshield is my main antenna now). The smaller one is actually a proprietary Lexus antenna, BUT you can check out Fry's Electronics or local car stereo shops. I found what I needed at both. Fry's carried an adapter to allow me to turn the smaller type to the larger Motorola type. The shop had the other adapter to allow the larger Motorola type to the smaller type but had "modify" it by sanding down the edges of the smaller one to fit the smaller input on the back of the radio for me.

Here is a picture of the back of the oem radio antenna inputs. I already have the new radio installed (only using the larger antenna plug right now).

TheAzz, they also sell a "Y"Motorola Plug that would allow you to combine both antenna feeds. But of course, you'd still have to fine a small to large adapter before that.

Sorry, I don't recognize the 2nd connector after all. Bummer. Take the picture with you when you go "shopping" at Fry's or Radio Shack. (I'll keep my eyes open until then though.)

Thanks for your help. I'm calling metra tomorrow. I think they might be able to help.
Worse case is I cut off the smaller connector and put on the larger one and then do a Y. Radio Shack was a bust

Did Metra have the correct cable to combine these two?

I know the larger is the standard Motorola size male plug found on the majority of cars. Does anyone know the proper name for the smaller plug? I will call it Lexus for now.

Does anyone know that the other end of the male Lexus cable looks like? If it is a regular push on type plug found in most other places in the car then I do believe Metra may have a replacement cable that would have the larger Motorola male plug.

Then all you would need is a male Motorola to a Y connector with two female Motorola plugs.

Try a local audio shop or even a shop that specializes in cb radios. I found mine locally at a shop and at Fry's electronics .

Bringing this thread back to note from some research I have been doing into this same dilemma with my 1993 SC300 since the same diversity antenna connection arrangement was used on many Lexus models.

According to this thread...
http://tlcfaq.com/main/2012/05/land-...stereo-wiring/

...the smaller of the two antenna connectors can be adapted with a Scosche MDA-B Micro/Delco Antenna Adapter Tip and a Metra 40-UV43 Motorola Antenna Y-Adapter.

Hope this helps someone who still wants to retain the use of both their factory antennas even though an aftermarket stereo will not provide the dynamic diversity switching function.
