My better half is not a car person either, she doesn't care what she drives, all she ask is to have ac. Ya'll will not regret it when you get a LS, I'm planning to convert my front to 2013 or if I can find 2013 within my budget I might just pick it up.

Sorry to hijack your thread, Nat.
Which kit did you get for your SC?

Can't wait to see the 2013 conversion. I know another person in TX doing the same thing.

I ended up ordering the V-Vision kit for the SC in January. I got a good deal so I couldn't pass up on it. Me and a buddy went to Japan in February for Osaka Auto Messe and met with Motoshi Hanada (owner) and paid the remaining balance. Got an opportunity to check out one of his SC430.

The spoiler, big wing trend is a big No-No for me. If you ever see me driving with one, you have my permission to rear end me.

It's been a while since I posted anything here. The V-Vision kit finally arrived.

Here is the front bumper. Didn't get a chance to take out the side skirt and rear bumper for the picture.

Test fitting on the car. Fitment is very good. Looks like I will need 2006+ headlight and full grille assembly.

Nice !! Did you get the fenders and flares?

I may do something similar if I keep the SC.

Mark, yes, I got the fender flares as well. Here is a pic of us trying to figure correct wheel size. In this pic, I'm still 20mm shy to get a good fitment.

It's been almost 2 months since the last post. Here are a few updates.

Using painter tape to line up where we need to cut.

Result of the cut for the front over fender.

The rear quarter panel was more challenge as it is double wall. We ended up welding the two walls together after the cut to prevent any water from accumulating and resulting in rust.

Test fitting the front over fender.

Rear quarter panel all cut.

Final test fit before riveting and gluing.

I'm not a big fan of the current trend of having riveted over fenders. For this project, I opted to mold the over fender to be seamless with the body. Some will love it and some will hate it.

While I'm at it, I decided to mold the trunk spoiler as well. I never really like the visible line and wanted a clean transition.

A few progress pictures.

Close up of the front over fender. Sanding is no joke. All work was done by me and a buddy who own Impact Performance in San Mateo.

Side shot of the molding process almost done.

Rear shot of the molded trunk spoiler and the V-Vision rear bumper.

Test fitting the headlights. I'll be using the 2006-2010 headlights on this project. First time we've seen the V-Vision front bumper with over fender molded and headlight...not too bad.

Close up of headlight...checking for fitment...I think it fits pretty good.

At the paint shop getting the final sanding and prepping before going into the primer booth.

Rear quarter panel turned out great in my opinion.

I had a slight fitment issue with the front bumper and fender. This was due to layer of bondo on the over fender. The body shop did an awesome job reshaping the front bumper to match the fender.
