I've recently purchased a 2002 sc430 and like many before me, I'm looking to install a back-up camera & Bluetooth. Visited a local installer and he recommended...
"Smart Nav 5 - Rearview Mirror with GPS Navigation, DVR Recorder, Bluetooth..." System.
Approximately $695 installed.

Any comments?

No particular experience with the Smartnav 5, but I tried mounting my Garmin GPS up next to the rear view mirror on my old F150 truck. It fit perfectly up there and was a very good solution, however, with the progressive lenses in my glasses, I could never really focus properly on the screen without taking my eyes off the road and tilting my head way-back ....I ended up putting it back on a friction mount on the dash. If you have good eyesight, it probably wouldn't be a problem, but for me, it was unworkable up there. Just something to take into consideration before you drop that much money into it.

That being said - I also put a rear camera on it with the display in the rear view mirror (came on when I put it in reverse) and that worked pretty well because I could concentrate on it while backing up. ...
