Default New Tires and Wheels on my SC430

With the timing belt job behind us, it was time to spend the money I saved on labor from that job! LoL
These wheels needed some tires and the old wheels needed to go on Craigslist!

The tire brand and model was my next choice! We had the Yokohama yk-580 or the Michelin super sport. The guy at discount tire told me the Michelin pilot sport a/s3 is replacing the SS. He sold the a/s3's at about the same price as the SS tires. The pilot sport also had a tread life of 45k vs 30k.

Nice looking wheels and great tire choice. I hope that's a torque limited "smart" air wrench laying next to that guy! Post some pics of it on the ground when you get a chance.

They just use the air wrench to start them and they finish with a manual torque wrench. I have been very happy with this discount tire store!
They are very high speed and work like a pit crew.

Lexus Tourmaline wheels.

Great buy on the wheels I watched Craig's list for months trying to find some decent wheels. Everything for sale here in my area had curb rash or the chrome was peeling. Your wheels looks real good !!!.. and the price was sure right. I like Discount tire I have always got good service there. Will have to look up the tires you put on. I just did the Yokohama YK 580 so far real happy but there will be a next time. If you have a decent tire cage that you trust re-check the cold air pressure. When I had my tires put on I watched the kid check my tires with his shirt pocket cage we agreed on 35 pounds every tire was low by 5 pounds when I checked them at home with my gage which is a high quality gage. I have never liked the small pocket gages.

Bought my SC430 couple weeks ago. It had Bridgestone run flats that had only about 11000 miles but were 6+ years old. I developed an instant hate for those tires. Felt like I was driving an 18 wheeler. Switched out 2 days ago for Michelin Pilot Sport 3/A. Instant LOVE. These tires are as smooth as silk.

I completely agree Mike! I too, really like these tires!!! They ride nice, handle well and should last many miles.

I have a tire pressure warning light on my dash because I did not tell the guys at discount tire to make sure they put the sensors back in the exact same location.

They initially told me they had the handheld device that would reprogram the sensors. When they tried to do it, I was told their device did not have the software for my '02.

How do all of you handle the sensor issue when you go for a rotation or new tires?
I already know that disabling the TPMS is an option...
