No, i actually went to a local vinyl graphics shop that specializes in vinyl wraps. While in their shop I saw a desktop advertisement model that was etched pexiglass with light up LED's. I asked if they etched pexiglass and they said they did. I dismantled my deflector, left it with them, and a week later, viola. $80 out the door and they even cut the proper size pexiglass rather than ruin my OEM deflector. I had previously just put a Lexus vinyl decal on the OEM deflector but it wasn't looking great with the light shining up through it, so I consider this an upgrade.

Here are some photos as requested. I haven't cleaned The Lex in a while.. Maybe some TLC this weekend if the weather is nice.

I questioned the purpose years ago, it is indeed for vibration.

Shawn, this looks so fricken cool!!!

Is it trade marked? ;-)

How did you wire it in?

I originally thought it was part of the headlights...is it interior/door switch lights?
If so, the blue LEDs in the door sill would compliment this soooo much!

BGW, I'm sorry I just noticed to post while searching for something for another member. Thanks for the compliments. It's not trademarked in anyway. Just an idea I finally got around to putting into play. I have a separate switch at the edge of the rear sear (hidden). It's not connected to the headlights. The power is actually from my previous NavIKS install. I keep a piggy back wire through the rear firewall with this intended purpose. As for the LED's in the door sills, I have white LED's so this white strip does complete the entire package very nicely. I was driving around Shreveport this summer with the top down and this light on. Got so much attention. It was really a head turner.

Very cool, where did you have it etched? Are those LEDs in the bottom of the glass?

Thanks, I went to local shop that specializes in vinyl wrapping. While in their shop I saw a tabletop display for one of the business that they promote. I asked if they would be willing to do the same for my wind deflector but I requested that they create a full new pexiglass piece rather than test on my OEM one. They did it and had it within a a few days. I added an LED strip at the bottom just below the glass so it centers and the light shines directly up through it. Turned out to be a pretty solid project, after it was all said and done. Really happy with the results.
