So TexSexLex came by and paid me a visit this evening while in town to big some big money at the casino. We had planned to talk cars and take a ride to compare our cars but mine was not up to par due to the gremlins I was experiencing today. We still went for a drive but top up, nonadjusted mirrors or steering wheel, etc. Headache after headache. But Ed did give my car a drive and we rolled in his silver beast for a bit too. He body kit and lights are def amazing! He's also got a nice bass system in the trunk! But more than anything, I'm such a huge fan of his body kit! It looks even better in person!
Well, back to my headache. I did try to unplug the sensor and even pulled the fuse on the passenger side. Didn't make any difference. One thing that I will note, this morning when I was checking fuses i did feel that the passenger fuse cover had water on it! Caught me by surprise for sure but didn't think much of it as it could have been from my wet hand from opening the door? After about an hour of diconnected battery, still got the same response as before. After that, left the car for another hour battery disconnected and it was sunny and warm. Went back out to the car and tried the system. Worked properly... all gremlins were gone. Then it started raining and BOOM! Gremlines are back! I got beyond frustrated and that's when TexSexLex showed up. We talked through the issues and in the end went for a ride in my car and then his car. About two hours later. Came back to my car and everything was working again! WTF?!?!?
After our discussion we decided that the culprit could be two situations that could be causing my headache... 1) water in the passenger fuse box 2) LuxLink is causing the problems since it's tied into security, keyless entry, windows, top function, seat memory, etc.
This leads to a new line of questions. Where does the LuxLink tie into the electrical system? Can someone theoretically disable the LuxLink and just revert to the OEM system without much modification (like a temporary disable?). If so, any DIY or photos would be appreciated. Next, is there any water channel or tube that runs along the passenger door/fender well vertically that would be leaking water to the passenger foot well area? Thanks for any advice in advance. Currently, everything is working. No rain expected tonight. The sensor is connected, but the Headlight Level System Fuse is pulled, therefore no power to the system. Finger's crossed I sort this out. Not what i expected at all. This headache is really making me consider selling The Lex.

My opinion would be the wet fuse box. Lexus link shouldn't cause your steering wheel none adjustable.
Do you have any clue why it was wet? I would suspect if you were to dry it then all should be normal again. Best of luck. By the way, I really need to find time to visit Ed. He's about 20 minutes away from me.

Day 2 after "The Incident" (LOST reference), and everything seems to be working fine. Not sure what happened. If the ECU memory just had to wait to reprogram everything, or what but car is running and no error lights. Even reconnected the headlight level fuse and no problems, no dash lights. Everything is working as it should. LuxLink started the car and remote dropped as expected. In any case, I'm happy again and hopefully won't have this problem again. Knock wood.

,,,hey Shawn it was great meeting you yesterday & thanks or all the compliments !!!! I'm glad that the "gremlins" are gone right now. I know we tried to narrow it down to a couple of items & since it's not suppose to rain for a couple of days, that might help you some. If you get rain there in the next couple of days & the issue comes back or even if it doesn't, I would double check the issue with the water in the fuse box area. I think this is something you should keep a close eye on, because it could be causing all the other issues....BUT water mixed with an electrical unit could create future issues also, so pay close attention to this my friend....too bad you'll be going back to Chicago soon, because I would have you here helping me out with an awesome media system just like yours !!!

So I realized I never updated this thread. I purchased a used Front Left Ride Height Sensor from a part out, after being told by Lexus of Westmont that mine was failing. I had it shipped to me while I was in Shreveport, as I couldn't see more than 10 feet ahead of me at night on the small, unlit back roads of Shreveport. Upon removing the front left wheel, I was pretty upset to find that it seems the only problem with the old ride height sensor was the length arm that connects to the axle cross member/sway bar. It seems that the thread and bolt had sheared off and thus they were saying that the sensor had "failed," and were quoting me $400+ for the part and $400 for the install. I went ahead and installed the "new" part ($200) since the yard didn't offer returns. Very easy, Three bolts and a wire harness. I had old part tested at Lexus of Shreveport with a guy I befriended, and he said that it was functioning properly. It's really uncool that Lexus of Westmont told me it was failing when it was just a sheared thread and bolt on the length arm (which can be separated from the sensor). Bad business on the part of Lexus of Westmont, especially after charging me $120 for a diagnostic fee after I went in three times for the same issue (After reading posts on this forum, I had to specifically ask them to check front ride height sensor the third time and thus the charge)! I've attached photos for anyone that might have issues in the future to avoid this sort of headache and "being taken" by the stealership.

PS. While I was working on changing all 4 of my rims and doing this ride height sensor swap I also painted my hubs, center ring, and vents on the side since they were looking pretty poor with rust and discoloration. I had previously painted the same areas with aerosol caliper paint but it was flaking as you can see from the photos. I chose to go with an actual liquid can of Rustoleum High Heat Paint (up to 1000 degrees) this time. Looks so much better, for sure. Much thicker coat so I doubt it will flake like the aerosol. I'll post after photos later when I'm switching to my Roderick 20s. I'll also touch up the red calipers.

To answer the question as to why you MUST, yes, MUST adjust BOTH adjustment screws on each headlight...
ie: adjusting the up/down screw messes up the tilt. Similarly, adjusting the tilt screw messes up the up/down. So, you must adjust both screws. For the '06-'10 headlights, adjust both screws the SAME number of turns.

I agree, and also good to note that I think the maximum adjustment (literally written adjacent to the screw adjustment), is 20%. In my case, maximum adjustment didn't help. I had a ride height sensor issue in the end and no matter the amount of turns, that 20% didn't make a difference. But I was getting a dash error light. SixOneMale, are you getting a dash error light? Did you check the fuse that was recommended in post #40 of this thread? Maybe a previous owner removed it?

When you make these turn its a good idea to project the light on a wall at least 20 ft away with some kind of grid, like brick lines. If there is no grid putting a masking tape or even ladder will really help.
