Wheel??????
Looking for people who are running on 20's. I'm thinking of going that route. I have dropped mine 2 to 2.5" Will I rub, and how much offset can I safely get away with. Of course I would like an aggressive stance, but I really don't want to deal with rubbing issues.

I believe that there were a couple of threads about calculating the offsets a few years back. You might do a search on those. IIRC, someone did a fair amount of research.

Yeah Harold, I did find some threads, what concerned me was the guy who posted a graph, said if your running 20"s and lower, its going to rub, but it seemed like so many people are managing to run 20"s just fine, so which is true. Can I run them without rubbing, I'm simply not sure.

I run a 20x10.5 +25 front and rear and it's fine. I run a stretched tire though. I could honestly go 10 to 15 mm more aggressive in the rear. The front do stick out but they car will be on air soon and I'm positive it'll clear fine. As of right now it's stock height and I have no rubbing issues.

...hey Count from my research, it will definitely depend on your width & offset. Alot of the guys that have gone staggered are doing 20x8.5 (f) & 20x10 (r)....with an offset in the mid 20's to low 30's, you shouldn't have an issue. It will depend more on the tire size then. I'm thinking about moving up to 20's myself & will probably go with a setup similar to what I described or 20x9 (f) & 20x10.5 (r). With this setup, I'll probably look for offsets in the 30's to be safe. I'm lowered about 2in. with 18 staggered now & no rubbing issues. I've talked to a few guys with setups like Ibintab or even more aggressive, most end up doing a stretched tire to help prevent the rubbing issues...hope this helps some & any other input is welcomed

Thanks Texlex, I was trying to avoid stretch tires but perhaps that might be my best option. I have the same setup now as you, and it looks like we have the same plan to go to 20"s, right down to the offset. I'm thinking +30 front, and +34 back.

...I'm thinking about staying away from the stretched tire also. With the offsets you mentioned, you should be able to do a 275/30/20 & no issues.I already have a set of 285/30/20's, so i'm probably going to go that route...now the search for wheels !!! I'm not in a super rush, but if a very good deal falls in my lap then I'll jump.I need to do a few things around the house, before I spend some more money on the car, that way my wife thinks i"m responsible !!!
