Default I am Buying a 2003 Lexus SC430 This week. Anything I need to know?

Hello everyone. I am a pure Lexus Fan all the way. I love the Lexus brand and I love the way they ride and I love how reliable they are. I have owned, ES, GS and LS and they have never let me down. By the end of the week I will be having a 2003 Lexus SC430. It is black on black with 119,000 miles. Is there anything I need to know before buying this car? Is it reliable like its brothers and sisters? I heard the run flat tires on these cars are a pain. This 2003 SC comes with some aftermarket rims and tires on it. Thanks for looking

Are you getting all past service records? For sure ask the previous owner for documentation on when the timing belt was changed.

Ensure the timing belt was changed ! This is a total damage engine when it breaks. You will be looking at $10,000 for new or $5,000 for a used engine in replacement costs.

Default Welcome

A note on the aftermarket rims. When I bought mine used it also had rims, but I later found out they were cheap ones and made a lot of noise. Many forum members have them, but I went back to original rims with the rattlesnake covers.

It appears you are a drop a question and depart. With that said, if the car has no maintenance records, make sure you can turn wrenches or have plenty of money for your favorite mechanic...
