Removing the gear from sat nav tilt motor
With encouragement from bgw70, I put the motor in a vise ( as gently as vise can be use effectively ) and used a forked metal trim tool to pry the gear off of the shaft. It did not take a lot of force.
When disassembling the cage for the tilt mechanism, the phillips head screw driver for the tiny screws is PH000. I read that some people had problems with them and I had no problems with that size screwdriver bit.
