I'm happy because the car feels amazing, but dissappointed with the cel. I stopped by merchants and my guy looked at it, and he suspected if it is the O2 sensors, they may be seized, and the entire y pipe may need to be replaced. To look on the bright side if I get a new y pipe (say a megan y pipe on amazon) would there be a performance gain??

How many miles does your car have? Have you thought of getting new O2 sensors?

119k miles, probably it's time I guess.. Just upset because they were fine before the header install. I guess the new higher airflow could have tripped them. Worse is they are seized to the y pipe..

Interesting. Please post your before and after dynos.

Keep in mind, even if your butt dyno indicates you're making 400 HP, I'll still beat your 0-60 time. ;-)

I don't have a baseline dyno test, so unfortunately I cannot estimate precise gains. However my butt dyno does indicate a nice power gain. I still cannot get a good 0-60 run, being that I am testing my car on public roads, lol,

Default I need a pep talk!

This morning I was driving to work when I heard a loud crank/crashing sound coming from the header area in my car. I was going over a smooth surface, going about 25mph, and going straight. Then the check engine light came on again with a P0420. I'm calling the shop the installed the headers now. Damn, need a pep talk, if I tried to talk to my woman she would just laugh and say it's all my fault because I messed with my car so much

Thanks buddy. I just got back from the shop. The owner said the code was probably due to the higher airflow . He said he would install spacers- free of charge. If that doesn't work he will replace o2 sensors at cost. The strange sound he couldn't diagnose, but after reading a lot of posts I think the sound may be due to the moog end links I had installed. Maybe I will go back to OEM?

Funny thing happened on the way home. I was completely crushing it on the highway, and when I was full throttle going about 80mph I saw a giant bloom of smoke coming out of my exhaust. The hood of my car was also smoking.

Them when I got home I saw transmission fluid leaking out rapidly. I quickly got my tools and put my car up on a ramp. After a few minutes of looking around I think I found the source of the ATF. The dipstick. Then I remembered that an over filled transmission could cause fluid to come out of the dipstick...
