Maximum horse-power without stress?
I want to increase power only by adding a cold air induction system and a sports exhaust system with a 'Fast 'n' Loud' / Mustang-type switchable opening exhaust valve before the two rear cats. I'm guessing that this could take it close to 350 hp, perhaps. Does anyone have a notion of the maximum horse-power that the SC430 can take without the need to uprate or strengthen anything on the car?

No worries.
You have absolutely no reason to worry about the integrity of your drivetrain with your proposed mods. Simply making your SC louder will not add any additional stress to the driveline.

SC430Steve, I believe you're proposing a electronic cut out for the exhaust. I've heard that this can cause a Check Engine Light due to loss of back pressure. Additionally, the SC430 only has one rear cat, and two front cats. So maybe check this out before jumping into your project. Good luck!
PS> I removed the 3rd cat and the paired resonators, and no lights to this day. Resulted in a more sporty exhaust sound. I'm also using a Weapon R Intake System with a RamAir Kit. Engine pulls air like a beast.

Thank you very much for that valuable info.
Others concur with your opinion of the switchable valve, and I shall drop that idea.
I thought that the two cats were after the one cat, hence my error. Thanks for the correction.
I shall seek sources for the Weapon R Intake System with a RamAir Kit. Can you actually feel more acceleration with that system?

Um, I think he was also implying it would not add any more power either. I seriously doubt any bolts ons at this point would add power. You might increase peak power while decreasing peak torque or total power under the curve if anything. Or you might not see any increase.
Of course you will do a Dyno before so you can set your baseline.

All good advice but before prescribing PPE headers for a straight-forward solution for more power, please be aware that this is being proposed for a right hand drive SC430.

Those headers do not look like equal-length to me, and I've heard that they need to be, to get the most out of them.
The exploded diagram is very informative. I wish I were more knowledgeable about these things. I thought that I'd found the way to follow, but now I feel that I'm sinking in a sea of complexity again.
