Lately I have been doing performance mods to my car, and I wonder if others have this addition as well and how much individuals have spent (tires and brakes not included). I will start:

SRT restalled Torque Converter: $1600
Magnafliw Exhaust: $800
Exhaust Labor $200
Gs300 sway bar $75
Spint Booster: $300
Isf Sway bar kit $160
Front bushings $25
Front and Rear End Links $50
Install of sway bars and end links: $400
PPE headers $900
Header install $1200

Well I didn't really want to add it all up but you saw about $4k for headers and exhaust, about $3500 for wheels and tires; over $3k for BBK and install, plus a lot of stuff in my signature. Not too much on body kit or sound system. For this year the Supra TT differential ($1000) DIY and a new set of wheels with summer tires for the track.

By the way, I started listing my mods and then realized I didn't want to add it up either

How many extra horse-power do you reckon you got from the headers, Magnaflow exhaust system and SRT intake and chip?

wow.. jealous.. I have a ways to go before I dwell into power mods. Hasn't anyone installed like an Apexi Neo or SAFC to tune after intake header and exhaust install? Also horsepower gains from the said mods?

For the Silver Bullet mods have given me ~45 wHp more than when I started; I did a baseline dyno before I started with perfomance mods. A new set of spark plugs helped too but I need to do a new dyno to see how much improved. TBD if any engine mods but future might do port/polish and forged rods etc using parts from Lextreme if available. Working on Supra TT LSD 3.77 differential swap now but got distracted with other mods and putting insulation on the garage door.

I just started looking at the piggy back tune possibility but haven't done anything yet. The shop I work with can tune the Apexi but it's pricey laborwise. I'm interested in learning more though.

I've been contemplating on the piggy back possibility to increase motor efficiency really.. I know these cars run rich. Would be really interested in your dyno run after these mods Greg.

Not sure about actual HP increase because I did not do a baseline dyno. Dyno estimates for the magnaflow suggest a 5 to 10 HP increase. The SRT chip and intake felt like a big increase, and the SRT website shows a dyno of 20 additional HP. Although many are skeptical on CL of actual HP increase from intakes and chips, this mod really provided a nice "feel" of increased power. I haven't actually installed the headers, but I will report out.

What Company so you plan to use to tune your piggyback? How much are they chagrin for the tune? Is the tune changing/ optimizing air fuel mixture??

I have done a baseline dyno before mods then a nee dyno each step of the the way. For other numbers I go to the drag strip. I have a science background and like to look at real data. I need to post my dyno results as soon as I get a chance to do a good plot. Mack V gives me the data and I use the software from Dyno Jet. I will do another dyno after I finish the diff swap so I can look at the changes in shift point before I go out and see it on the track.

I haven't really looked into tuning options other than reading and don't plan to do that this year so I can't comment much more about it. I will add the air/fuel reading though for the next dyno to see where I'm at as far as lean or rich with the mods.
