Seems like the 07-2010 models got a
glove box ( passenger side ) that is less
tall than the 2002-2006 models.

Can anyone confirm this?
Does anyone have a glove box ( passenger side)
with a lid/door in the saddle leather color ?

they don't make it in saddle. I tried.

The knee air bag debuted in 2007; its probably related.

This is correct. The addition of the passenger knee airbag for 2007 is the reason for the smaller glove box. The knee airbag is placed below the glove box door. I have a 2007 and even though Lexus is on "the relentless pursuit of perfection", they failed to realize the owners manual leather bound case does not fit in the smaller glove box without jury rigging the front of it to sit up on an angle.. Oversight!

They must have recognized the issue because it fits fine in the '08.

I'll grab a shot tomorrow. There's enough room for the manual binder and the reg papers but not much else

Here's the 2008 glove box. Both closed and opened. I've got the bound books as well as a variety of papers in there. The edge of the paperwork (dealer doc, reg, etc) is at the edge of the glove box and the manual binder is actually tucked a bit further back. No need to tilt it up or anything. Maybe they changed the knee airbags or made smaller manuals or something?
