Default Engine Mount Replacement

Hi all, just had a thought. Noticed a slight vibration from my engine at idle. Nothing too overbearing but just had a concern to request help from the experts. How much should I expect if the engine mounts need replacement? Parts? Labor? Any other advise is really appreciated.

Thanks Bacardi! I guess they are about $180 for the Megan Racing online but how much is the approx labor? Does anyone know how much the OEM ones are and approx labor at a Lexus dealership (just for comparison's sake)?

I had them installed when I got the PPE headers installed. If possible you might want to wait to combine with some other work.

Just FYI.. advance auto parts carries the OEM L & R engine mount and after 30% discount code (TRT30) it comes to $107.56 + tax and free shipping.

They don't carry the transmission mount bushing unfortunately.

just so you know the Megan Racing Mounts are made that they will rot like the stock mounts do. that why they go bad.

Here are some links from Sewell. (I'm not sure if this covers what you want though. No labor, for sure.)

For those of you that have replaced the mounts yourself, how big of a project/effort is it?

hmm,.. the megans are harder. how is the ride quality I am afraid of more vibration transferring through the harder compound.. I'm already changing caster arm bushings to the figs poly bushings and I know that transfers more vibrations to the floor board..not bad but I can feel it.. so trying to stick witht he softer compound to reduce vibrations where I can.. if I get 50k out of the stock mounts I don't mind that// caster arm bushings I can't put stock ones because when I lower the car the softer stock bushings are going to wear out a lot faster causing excessive inner tire wear.. I've never put megan racing bushings on my Lexus's so not sure how the ride is either..

there is no difference in the ride that I can see or feel. changing to the Megan Racing Mounts was a good thing to me.

Thank for all the advice! Considering all options and also about combining it with some other engine work How much do you think labor is on changing the mounts alone?

I replaced my mounts on my 2IS and the ride is definitely different. My car vibrates like crazy. You are definitely right about one thing, there is no difference in the ride I can see or feel in terms of performance. Might as well just stick with OEM. I just ordered them and will throw these Megan engine mounts in the trash.

I'm glad I bought the OEM version even thought I haven't installed them yet.
