Techstream TIS with SC430 - Key and TPMS Programming
OK guys, ended up buying the Toyota TIS / Techstream package that you see on eBay and Amazon for low cost. As I haven't seen many posts on using this tool for the SC430, thought I would include some screen shots.
- MINI VCI for TOYOTA TIS Techstream Diagnostic Cable & Software
The install:
1. Windows XP is easier
2. Windows 7 should work also.
3. Install VCI Drivers (USB Cable/OBDII adabter)
4. Install Mongoose Drivers (Emulation of the OEM recommended adapter)
5. Intall TechStream TIS
Results
- Works great to register/unregister keys, check and register TPMS sensors and run an overall OBD sensor health check on the car.

Nice to know since I'm getting another set of wheels which means another set of TPMS monitors that will need to be added to the car.
Was this what you got?
I've seen versions which say they only come with the Toyota 16 pin connector and not the 22 pin one - which did yours come with?
TIA
Jim

This is the cable I used:
This was the 22 pin cable, so no issues on compatibility so far.

Hi, new to the forum. Where did you get the software? I looked this up on ebay, if this software can do what it says it can, it's one hell of a bargin.

Amazon.com : Fotga Newest V8.00.034 MINI VCI for TOYOTA TIS Techstream Diagnostic Cable & Software : Toyota Mongoose Cable : Car Electronics
It's to AMAZON, not ebay. If you read the Questions and answers on that link it said software is included.
Also read the Q&A's for installation tips to save you headaches. The biggest issue seems to be it's best loaded on an XP machine.
Yes it's a hell of a deal.

Mine came in the mail today!
Can somebody do a tutorial on how to set this up?
I have watched the video many times but it is not clicking for me. I have read the Q&A on the Amazon item as well.
I tried to run the set up...not working for me. I have WIN 7.
Thanks in advance.

If you step through the install readme.txt on the installation disc, it should give you the order of programs to install. That said, if you have installed the VCI drivers, it includes a utility that lets you see if the adapter is recognized by your windows machine, you need to at least run that utility before connecting to the car, to make sure you the drivers are working with Win7.

Sorry I am not computer savvy. My Vista laptop does not want to run the cd. My Xp desktop and WIn 7 laptop did read the cd though. But I really want the vista machine to be my working laptop for the car.

You are able to program new TMPS sensors to car with this cable?
I have similar looking cable and have failed every time on newer Lexus.
I've tried two different cables from different sellers already and both cannot do TMPS sensors.
