Default Looking for shift surround replacement part

Hello. New to the forum.

I've a 07 430 and I am looking for a gear shift surround that is a bit worn. Anyone have one, or a source for used/good shape one?

Photo attached of the worn one...

Thanks

You can paint it instead of replacing it. I believe someone came up with 2 DupliColor silver paints that can replicate the OEM finish. They sprayed one as the base and the other as a "mist" top cover before baking in an oven at 140 degrees (IIRC) to set it hard.

It comes off the car pretty easily. Toughest thing will be masking off the gear selector indicators. There's a post with someone showing his off and it looked great.

I had the same issue on my coin holder compartment lid and the dealer had an interior painter fix it. Looks great and no hint that it was previously all scratched up.

You can get that part from the Sewell Lexus on line parts site and use the CL discount...

Mine looks like crap also. I priced one at Sewell and it was absurdly expensive. I try not to look at it.

Darthsid that's the one I remembered reading. I'm working my way thru the entire archive of posts. I'm on page 185 so far. Picking up lots of good info & saving any PDFs or other attached files that are included so I have a library of info for whenever the posts fall off the site or the links stop working.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to answer my question.

Is there a post that explains how to remove / replace the part?

Its easy to remove, and no tools are required;

Just remove the shift **** (grab it firmly and unscrew it counter-clockwise) .

Remove the small panel that holds the seat-heater controls (no tools required; just open the console, grasp the panel and slowly rock it up & down while pulling up and forward).

Grab the gate panel from the rear & lift it up (its not bolted down).

Remove the connectors for the various switches, and lift it right out.

(I can't remember if there are any screws/clips holding that panel to the center console (I don't think there are), but if so , they should be accessible from underneath after you lift it up).

Done.
