Just wondering if anyone has rubbing issues with
50 series tires on 18" rims ( oem or aftermarket ).
Would like to stay with 235mm or wider.

Got 50 profile on the back and they rubbed really badly. The arch liners now reside in a recycling centre and the remaining metal work was heavily hammered and adjusted to help them fit, so not a straight fit in any regard.

thanks....what was the width of the tire ? 235, 245 ?

I went with slightly taller (45 vs 40's) and slightly narrower (235 vs245) X 18 tires on after market
rims. No problem at all with rubbing or bottoming out. In fact the actual overall diameter is only marginally bigger.

yeah....8mm difference is like .3 inches.

I'm afraid I'll have to go to 17" rims to get a
decent amount of sidewall for soft ride quality.
