"Clock Spring" Replacement
I was having intermittent problems with the horn. It would only work when the steering wheel was off center either left or right. Straight on -no horn. Finally took it to the dealer in northern NJ where I had to have the clock spring replaced or as Lexus called it the Spiral Cable Sub Assembly. $368 for the part and $270 for the labor. Not a cheap fix.

Gee Johnny you have the worst luck. I don't drive mine enough or else maybe I would have similar problems . Were you ever able to figure out the surge issue on cruise control with the nav hack and lumbar switch surge ? Habious Has gone all electric . Did he sell his Sc430?
No on the brief surge, but the car isn't supposed to be able to have nav input while in motion so I can't blame that on the car.
Habious just had 220v installed in his garage, so he can power the car (or maybe he'll move his clothes dryer up there. You'll have to come down to see the car here -- he can't make it all the way to your place on a charge!
