Default No sound from radio or CD

Hi, I have the same problem as some people on this forum but so far no one has been able to find a solution, so I am going to tray one more time.
When I hit a pothole the radio went silent, everything seems to work ok except no sound, if the radio is off and I turn the ignition on there is a scratching sound that comes from the speakers for 5 to 6 seconds, and if the radio is on and I turn the ignition on everything works for 5 to 6 seconds and then no sound, can someone help me on this.
Thanks

You might try to check the wire harness behind the radio. Might have come loose. http://www.sound-repair.com/index.ph...-instructions/

From what I have learned so far there are two things that can cut the power to the speakers,
The Bluetooth and the GPS voice navigation, so I am disconnecting some wires to see if the radio will stay on after I start the car.
I will post the results.

It could still be the amp. It has a bit of a history of overheating when it is dying. So maybe in your case it overheats really quick.

Definitely not the amp I just finished replacing the amp and it is doing the exact same thing.
Something is cutting the power to the speakers; I’m still looking for the problem.

Your stock speakers have probably blown and were cheaply made as the Sc 300/400 models. I'll try and find/post the old thread I help for another member many years ago, for Sc430.

Here is a newer DIY thread on how to replace remove interior to get access to the speakers.

Thanks Teal SC400, but as I have mentioned in my first post the speakers are working, I get sound for 4 to 5 second after I turn the ignition on.

K....stock speakers seem to deteriorate due to sun/heat and were cheaply made on Sc 300/400.
other problems "if U have larger rims/lowered the Sc?" These effects will wear-out wires, under the wheel-well as many have experienced with r models 300/400.
