Bought the air vent assembly. Now struggling with how to replace it. Unit has what appears to be 2 fastener arms. look like to me the only way to reach it is by removing the glove box. Has anyone done this replacement? If so how do you get the glove box out (2008 SC430).

Welcome to the forum.

Look in your manual for replacing the cabin air filter. Those instructions will walk you through removing the glove box. It is fairly simple, just a couple of pieces of hardware on each side.

...not sure if it's like the 2002 Sc, but I don't think you have to go through the glovebox to replace the air vent. If it's the vent closest to the nav screen, you will have to "pop" the wood panel off to access it. If it's the vent closest to the door, a small plastic pry tool or screwdriver will do the trick. Both just "snap/pop" into place,be careful in removing/installing,because they are made up of alot of small pieces
