Congrats on your new acquisition. Welcome to the most reliable, fun, and unique vehicle that can be found as well as the most helpful and knowledgeable car forum online. I see you are also in California. What part? I'm in diamond bar, near disneyland. Best of luck with your fine looking SC!

Nat, do a search on this forum for "recall". There are 2 or 3 threads discussing it. It was for 2002 & some 2003 models. Most folks received a recall notice.
aflygurl, do a search on "brake clunk" or noise or something like that. There are a couple of threads discussing that issue. See if those descriptions match what your car is doing. More than likely, the noise is your brakes if it is a single noise event. If it is a noise event that extends for a little while on each incident, then it is not the infamous "brake clunk" issue. Good luck!

I found on craigslist. Carfax was clear. Picked it up for $18,750 . I am happy. I just have to get use to riding a car with 18 in tires and runflats. My first experience and it is not as quiet . I think the last owser did not use OEM brakes or rotors if they were changed. I can hear the grip of the brakes as I stop. As if something is rubbing. I am big on using orig parts. I will have a mechanic look at it.
