If you're on a ~$2k budget then perhaps something like...

Megans ($600-$700?)
Varrstoens ($900-$1k?)
Tires (whatever you got left)

You wont win any awards, but its a pretty solid budget setup.

Not looking to win any awards haha. I have a solid idea as to what I am going to do. What I would love to do for now is to add a new aftermarket radio to it so I can access Bluetooth and use a usb slot for my music. as far as I know, changing the factory unit will cause my factory nav to not work. I was thinking of just replacing the factory nav with a unit that has nav capability and making that screen the primary unit without having to change both screens.

Yup that's a solid start on almost any model. Suspension then wheels... the rest is just gonna fall in place over time... then you'll change your wheels again ^_^

Given your budget, I would look first for used, high-quality wheels. You should be able to find a set for under $2,000 with enough work and patience. Once you find them, you can get lowering springs to save money, but eventually you'll probably want to get coilovers.

That's the biggest bang for your buck as far as appearance goes and should hold you over until you can afford a body kit. If you get a body kit, get a high quality one. Cheap body kits are garbage and will cost you more in the long run trying to get them to fit. If you keep an eye on the classifieds, used kits pop up from time to time.

I wouldn't bother with the exhaust until much further down the road unless your exhaust already needs to be repaired. No point making it louder and drawing attention to your car until it's nicer to look at.

I took this route & I'm very happy with the result.

Tein CS coilover - $1500
Forgestar wheel - $1500
Tires was $700 but you need it regardless you upgrade or not.

I'd recommend blacking out the badges and removing the front grill badge to see if you like the look. It's an easy to do, easy to replace, cost free job and changes the look, to me, quite a bit for such a small effort. Those things and of course get some LEDs in your headlamps and fog lights and the car steps up 10 years. These cars are kinda timeless that way.

What a contrast, huh? Beauty and the (belly) beast.....I'll have to be more careful.
