Good Day everyone

We recently purchased an 04 C430 Indigo Ink with Saddle leather interior 68k miles and have a few issues and like to do a few upgrades so I have a series of questions..

The factory stereo 6x9 speakers are buzzing I assuming they are suffering from the surround rotting, I assume these are 8ohm? Anyone have a good aftermarket source for them or have most been doing 6.5" conversion with a adapters?

The car doesn't have Bluetooth what modules have people been using to integrate BT with the factory stereo?

I also see that navigation screen seems to be independent of the radio and maybe can be replaced with a Tablet or CarPC what modules have been used to integrated into the head unit?

And finally the head unit is showing an error 3, I have banged on it to see if it was just jammed and have checked to see if it has any CDs and nothing.

Yes the car stereo is problematic ..
Also anyone got a good source besides a dealership to get another car made with remote?

Thanks in advance.

I appreciate any input

Welcome to CL. On your speakers qn, many alternatives done by different owners. Just use the search function and you will get lots of potential solutions.

I, too, just purchased a 2002 Indigo with saddle. My radio would not accept new presets. I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes and the reset corrected the problem. Give it a try. Most of my speakers are also blown. I ordered repair kits and plan to follow the detailed instructions on this forum for accessing the speakers. There are also excellent discussions of head unit and nav upgrades. They are also in my future.

Welcome to CL.

H RLP it seems that these cars suffer from constant worn surrounds I have seen the rebuild kits for speakers but I like to just pull the old ones out with something newer and save my effort for something else..

I have seen the forum on replacing headunit and navigation unit I am really liking the idea of putting a tablet a rooted tablet on top with a 64Gb MicroSD and having it sync itself to my NAS for music maybe even videos and play it thru the head unit. I also thinking that if I get with a 3G/LTE radio it can be used for Navigation, Pandora,Milk, Netflix. Just need to figure out how to wire it up to amplifier maybe just bypass the whole radio in the first place.
