Default carbon fiber

hey guys, i need a hood for my 430 but i cant find a used one for a good price, instead of paying 1500 for a new one plus paint i was considering a CF hood. just wanted to hear some of your thoughts before making a decision. i also need a front bumper but those are easy to find...

Seibon is the only one I know of outside of Tom's.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seibon-Dry-Carbon-Hood-for-2001-2010-LEXUS-SC430-TV-Style-HD0110LXSC-TV-DRY-/291147383187?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ASC430&hash=item43c9bc8193&vxp=mtr
I had mine for sale but not sure if I'll still sell it since I was going to get the Seibon:

After I had it wrapped in 4D CF film.

I would just wrap the wrong colored hood....3M has a new straight carbon fiber film that looks excellent.

yea but my point was that an oem hood used is the same price as new, so i thought let me just buy a CF hood seeing as how it would be on my mod list in the future anyway.

How hard have you looked for a used hood? You should be able to find one in the $500-$600 range. I'd call around to all of your local salvage yards if you haven't already.
