Default SC430 wont start

My SC430 has been acting weird for a couple months now. I let it set for a month or so and the battery died. I charged it up and it was fine. Now its not starting again. It cranks just find and all of the electronics seem to be working. I've tried all 3 of my keys. The first time It did this I unhooked the battery and charged it, put it back in and it started and ran fine for a couple weeks. Last week it did it again, took the battery out charged it and it ran for one day. Now its just cranking again. The battery is only a year old, but I think Im going to go ahead and get a new one and see if that helps.

Any other suggestions from the gearheads out there? I love this car but Im afraid to trust it anymore.

It truly sounds like the battery to me.

I would procure a new battery for your Lexus SC430. No question. Secondly, if your budget permits, I would also buy a battery tender for your ride. These can be purchased rather inexpensively for around $50-90 dollars. Our Lexus SC430's have so many electronics and computers engineered into them that they can produce quite a draw on the battery in a short period of time if not driven on a daily basis. (And I'm not talking about 5-10 min. daily drives...). The battery tender will bring your battery up to optimal charging status daily and will also aid in extending the life of your battery a full 5 to 7 years.

Default Battery

My sc has also gone through than more than it's share of batteries. Last time I just went to advance auto and they swapped it out for free, even though I had long lost my receipt. At least you'll have peice of mind if your battery dies that it won't be a big expense.

I've heard several people with proble like this, and I don't get why our cars eat batteries so quickly..

Last month I had the same story as many others. I remember some time back reading to unplug the battery for all electronics to reset and will stop drain, it has been 2 weeks and my car starts everyday (sometimes weak and few seconds delayed cranking). I got it checked and its 85%, I will need to buy new soon and I am ready...
