Default A Bit of Led Upgrade for my SC430

I Decided to do a bit of Upgrade on my Dome Light LED and License's plate Light...

First off...the Dome were almost a perfect fit...its fits but not 100% how i want it to...

These are 6x8 5050 LED boards...48 LEDS...

On the left is my OLD led board i had...4x5 5050 LED board....20 LEDS

vs

on the right is my NEw 6x8 5050 LED board... 48 LED white... much brighter...

See the Differences??...

These are completely Swapped...just a Day Time Picture before night falls...

In this one i also did the door too...2x3 5050 LED Board. 6 LEDS

I Also Did License's plate LED also...these are 5730 LED... 12 LEDS...Temporary Mount for now..i just want to test how bright and the output on it....in the future i will mount it higher or even custom build a housing for it so it can look flush and OEM like

also i was rushing due to the nasty weather I'm having in Texas

Also...right now im fiddling with the Door Sills...thinking about running some White LED...and carve the L.E.X.U.S. using a thin metal sheet...or maybe aluminum...but my main concern is how our STOCK DOOR SILLS has the Semi Opaque Logo...i thought about using Plexi Glass but plexi Glass becomes DULL overtime....what is a good alternative material? where light can easily shine bright through it?..but doesnt wear and tear as fast?..

Here are some Pictures of my SC430 and my Acura TL-S

Sorry not the best photographer these were taken on my Iphone 5C

here are the outputs of the same 5050 LED boards 48 and 20 Led's i have on my TL-S

my next Mod after this is...Puddle LED under our Side Mirrors...right now as we speak im tackling it ON MY Acura TL-S once i get this project done i will do it on my SC430 also...

Using an Add on Fuse etc my goal is to wire it only lighting up when i unlock the doors...or have my door open...my main concern is aiming the Light more towards the ground...rather than on the door as my buddy did...but thats something i have to do as trail and error and measurements...

stealing these pictures from another buddy of mines..

some of you are probally thinking will this interfere with the motorized mirror?..that im unsure of...i know for the TL-S it doesnt...i have to do measurements etc when i remove the SC's Side Mirror...i will have answers to that question soon i hope...its supposed to rain all week here in texas...so im doing my best to work around the weather

here is a demo of how the light should work..... but im aiming for white not blue...

LED's look great and you've put in a lot of work! Super Bright but a little too bright for my taste. I like a little mystery behind my limo tint. As for the door sills, they do make a heavy duty plexiglass that is UV resistant and avoids fading with time. I used it on my side mirror mods and they still haven't turned yellow as I know some do with time. As for scuffing, that would happen with normal wear and tear, and you could design it in a way where you can easily replace the plexiglass. In terms of the puddle lights, as you know I did mine and made a thread on it (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...n-signals.html). You should check it out before taking on the mod. It took my a lot of time, energy, planning, and searching and there is literally no room inside the housing for that type of "canister" light to stand vertically, in my opinion. You could use it but it would be angled. If you find a way, lots of photos, please! Fishing the wire was truly a P.I.T.A.! Good luck!

Shawn...Judging by the Pictures...i barely have any room...

but it wont stop me from tackling this project.... i will start taking my Mirror's apart to first hand experience how much room i have to work with...im sure its minimal...

but i have to wait until the weather clears up a bit...its been raining all week ...

i will try my best to take as much pictures and details as possible for this mod...
