Default I have the forged ones

I had the forged wheels on my 2008 smokey granite pebble beach (RIP) with Potenza 970AS non run flats and was extremely happy with them. I looked long and hard for pictures and found none on an SC430. That photoshop is good but in real life they give a wide open view of your discs and calipers. I painted my calipers blue and loved the look. Another benefit is that I could feel an immediate difference in quickness due to their reduced weight. They are also easy to clean as I could fit my hands through the openings to clean the backside of the rims. There are many beautiful and well done cars on this forum to get ideas from. My choice was conservative as I was looking to have a performance upgrade in comfort (the run flats were horrible) and I was surprised that the reduced mass was so noticeable. They're also a bargan for a forged product from Lexus.

I have a SC430 Pebble Beach with 2500 miles on it bought new. As I can recall the run flats were an option then. With them you got no spare, but a spare came with the regular tires.

I was trying to list it on this site to sell, but I see they started new rules in 2011 about having to post (30 postings) before your eligible.

dave42- Would you please explain to the class why in the name of all that is holy, you want to sell your Lexus SC430 with 2,500 miles on it? What year is it? Mine is a 2008 with 5,500 miles on it. Perhaps I should junk it. Think long and hard about this one, as I don't want you to go through sellers remorse. I'll hang up now and listen... Thank you.

Default 2007 SC430 PB "for sale"

Actually I love the car..............but

Its never been in the rain and the under carriage is still clean. Being a car guy (hot rods etc) it would never come out with even clouds in the sky.

As time goes on the wife finds it more difficult to get in and out of, and over the years I have had too much facial sun.

So by the time I wait for the perfect weather no (rain/clouds) sun down for the evening it doesn't leave much.

I understand completely. I am the same way with mine. Mine doesn't even come out on windy days for fear the paint might get peppered with foreign object debris... Thankfully I have other vehicles to fall back on in inclement weather conditions. These cars are SO NICE though! I shake my head in amazement every time I'm behind the wheel. What year and color is your SC430? I'm sure we can find a new home for it quickly...

It is a 2007 Pebble Beach. They are all Starfire Pearl with Pimento Red interiors. Always hand washed with one exception. That was at the dealer when the car was there foe a LOF.

Default New SC430 2003 55k miles pearl gold white

Owned our car for about a month. took it to Lexus dealer yesterday for detail job ready to pick up today and found a chip of clear coat out of it on rear bumper. I was disappointed that the detailer didn't mention that it had happened as it wasn't missing prior to going in. Anyone have any suggestions about repairing it? The dealer still has it and we're trying to work it out...didn't expect the detailing would cause it to flake off, do I avoid detailing altogether?

iamdacuz22, welcome to the forum.

There are several threads on the spare tire. There's a list in at least one of them. You can take the size and match it from there. The RX8 spare fits, it is a little smaller and much lighter. Several folks have used them. I bought a used Supra TT spare tire and it is an exact fit. I believe that there are several Toyota spare tires that fit, just match up the specs. Good luck.

I'm starting to feel the same way. After the detail work I was nervous to take her through a wet gutter. Being white gold the mud shows very easily. As far as pits from rocks there's always the clear bra route which will give you some protection from those pits.
