Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and i just bought a 2006 430 and planning to slam it with some 20's..

what do you think about this set up?

has anyone ever bought from wheelfire before?

I've never had a car lowered before so i don't know what to expect or where to start.

what kind of springs/coilovers are recommended? brand.

What kind of things should i expect from lowering a car?

Just my opinion I have Work 3 pic. rims that can be repaired. one pic. can not. my 18" 8.5 front and rear. I use Swift springs drop .8 front .6 rear not much. I use 245x40x18 tires front and rear. my problem is lowering the car to low you get tire ware. I have no tire ware problems. yes looks good but i'm not into 25", 30" tires 20" rims. harder ride rims problems and alignment problems. I.m in N.J. and the roads are not the best.

This is my third set of 20" wheels in the past 12 years. The first set were a one piece rim, second set a two piece and finally, a three piece wheel. My car is stock height and I'm currently in the market to lower it. I'm very happy with the ride quality and handling. I also plan on upgrading the front and rear sway bars. For me, I steered away from a multiple spoke rim because it was too difficult to clean the inside of the rim. I was constantly crawling underneath or using a lift. I have read so many threads, and received many opinions on springs, coil overs, to finally an air ride suspension. So much to choose from. Ultimately it will be your call what you are looking for, comfort, handling cost and who has the most influence in helping you make your decision. Best of luck.

what kind of tires do you have there.. i actually like how your car looks.. stock height may work for me.. I don't want any rubbing or have to roll the fenders or anything.. anybody in the market for 18" trd rims..

Here is my tire setup DisGuy. My car is currently OEM height. I also have zero rubbing issues.

Hankook Tires
Ventus 12 evo2

Front: 255/35/20
Rear: 285/30/20

Rims:
Savini SV29 custom built to accommodate the BBKs (front & rear)

Front: 9.0"x20" et + 38 with 4.0" outer lip
Rear: 10.5"x20" et + 48 with 5.0" outer lip

I'm very happy with these tires. They are the second generation of the Ventus 12 series. As a matter of fact the evo2 tires run smoother, quitter, have a ,320 tread wear vs. 280 and are priced reasonably.
