Excited! Flying to Orlando, driving to Jacksonville on Wednesday to pick up this baby!

We started out researching every hard top retractable convertible - the Lexus SC, IS 250, 350, Infiniti, BMW, Volvo...

and figured out the SC was our favorite... thanks to some pinned threads here, we knew that we wanted an '06 newer, and that we really liked the PB... I was afraid of the red interior of one of the PB models, and not so crazy about the shades of brown one...

Found two 08's on autotrader/ebay.... one in Texas and on in Florida... the carfax of the one in TX worried me a bit, so this was it! I've been negotiating with the dealership in Jacksonville for the past week, and today settled on a number I like!

Anyone along the I-95,26,40 corridor, look out for me on Thursday!

Perfect timing, according to my 18 year old - he's taking a friend to the prom on Friday and I think he wants to take the Lexus!

This will be my "run around" car... my current every day driver is a Lincoln Navigator L... we can park it and drive it when we need it (weekly, and for vacations) - extending the life many years... and I get a fun car - yaay!

My creeping on this board helped us tremendously!

Congrats on buying the best car on earth! And a PB to boot. The 08 PB is a great color combo and is the only one with two-tone seats. Super choice! Enjoy the forum. It's invaluable for info. Post pics as soon as you can and take plenty along the way-you'll be glad you did.

Wow! Love that interior, it's one of my favourites! Noticed it doesn't have floor mats, make sure the dealer supplies the proper PB floor mats with the car. Enjoy your new baby, you have been bitten and Lexus is now in your blood! lol

Great looking PB congrats. Not sure if those wheels on the car were original equipment on the 2008 but they definitely look better than the 5-spoke style.

Got it!

... got 25 mpg on the interstate on the way home! Whoo Hoo! My Navigator L gets 12-13!

It does have the PB mats, and the wheels are stock. Pretty new Kumho Ecsta Spt tires. Switching to Michelins asap... but hard to justify right now! Got 3 keys - one with buttons, one without buttons and the one inside the card. Also received original window sticker.

Now... working on adding a back up camera - connected to the nav screen... connecting my iphone the bluetooth. Need to read the book!
