I have a 2005 sc430. I am upgrading my I phone from 3g to 5s. Would like to know if anyone has used the i phone 5S with gen 4 or. Anyone using I phone 4s with gen 4.

Lexus does not maintain any upgrade info on compatibility with the 2005 sc430 on there web site.

4S works in our 2006 gen 4. Rumor has it I phone 6 might be out in September

What is your definition of work? I have the 4s and sure you can make and receive calls with gen 4, but it does not download or transfer phone numbers to car. I also have found that almost every call I make, I get comments from the person on the opposite side of the conversation saying that it is difficult to hear me, due to a fair amount of background noise. I've yet to be able to solve the noise dilemma.

None of the iphones are capable of transferring any contacts . You have to enter them manually for ANY SC430. ** not sure if this is so on the gen 5 in the 2010 sc43 ] My wife has 2013 es350 and you can transfer all the contacts with the iphone.

When I had an old Motorola razor I was able to transfer one contact at a time with that phone. Has something to do with push protocol.

In my sc430 2005 gen 4 I just would get the loud noise boom when I would start a call . That was called a sonic boom and was a bug in the gen 4 with iphone 3 g I don't know if the resolved that in the iphone 4s . Also were never able to transfer the call in any of the iphones either

I just want to be able to make call and receive calls . I have spoken to others and was told the sound quality was good. My 3g was fine I hope the 5S is as good.
