With the strut bar installed, the torque should be toward the high end.

Hi, was that the actual torque provided by the manufacturer or best guesstimate? Thanks!

I went higher than 30. Tires are at 76 ft-lbs. I went close to 50 ft lbs. When I unbolted the strut bolts there were in there tight.

After all the hot talk in this thread, I just ordered mine via Mathieu. It will be a long shipping process though, as I went super cheap. Hope they're sending me the right one! Cusco Front Strut Brace Type OS - UZZ40? Can anyone confirm please?

Awesome! Thank you everyone! I'm excited (even though it will take 2 months for delivery). Now if only we can get a confirmation on the torque specs... :-)

But the right torque has to be applied. Obviously there are lot of forces applied on the 3 bolts.

Will post my pics soon.
My bar is in the mail. As not having it yet and understanding from above that the instructions may state a torque in other than ft-lb, has there been any confirmation on proper torque in ft-lb or just good old honking tight?

I'm so happy that this mod is so popular! Much thanks to Mandy, Darthsid, and anyone else that put in the time to make ordering easy and smooth! Respect.

Great news. I'll be taking my car in for service in two weeks and I plan on removing my tower bar. Why? Because I'm afraid the service mechanic will mar my beautifully pristine polished tower bar. 🙈

I had 2 interpreters, including Mathieu and the paperwork does not have any torque call outs.

I did about 50 ft lbs.
