Default Good lord, both rear tires blew out from camber wear

Hey guys/gals.
I have a 2002 sc that has Megan Coilovers installed. The wheels on it are Work FS-FX 20s. The tires which were new when I purchased these wheels (used) were Falken 285/25/20. The offset is +32. I know this is very little sidewall but I drive maybe 5k a year and consider myself fairly careful.

I had alignment done on the car to -1.7. I know this is out of spec but the tech told me they couldnt get it any closer with the camber bolts in the back. Ok fine, better than the -3.4 I started with (after a DIY Coilover install).
Fast forward to a week ago. I smelled burnt rubber when I got out of the car and after inspecting the tires, they both basically blew out the sidewalls on the inside of the tire. The top still has thread on it even on the inside of the wheel.

I have 6k on these tires. I didnt realize that -1.7 is THAT bad considering spec is -1.5.
Am I able to put a rear camber kit on to get it to something more suitable, for ex -0.5? I dont want to be going through this every 1.5 years.

For camber kits, I found SPC rear kit that can do up to +1 for 99$
and Kmac kit for $350.

Has anyone tried either one of these with success? If i have to, I will raise the car a bit to get it close to -0.5 or -0.3. Thanks!

Incredible. I feel for you. I am as near to neutral camber as I can get but then I am riding on 18s with a 40 aspect ratio. Little if any uneven tire wear.

452's are notorious for weak sidewalls that fail. I have brand new Kmac kit if you're interested.

I bet your toe is off. There's no way those tires would blow in 5k miles. Hard to see from the pictures but the tread looks like it's feathering. As long as your toe is close as it can be to zero you should have good tire life.

Could be toe....but my experience with the SC is toe is more an issue on the front.

lexfam01, I emailed you back.

Mark I received the email but I'm going to mount the new tires and raise the car a bit. Then I'm going to figure out what I need as far as adjustment and if it's over 1 degree, I will hit you up. If not, I will go w the spc set.
