Default Looking for Lexus mechanic near Santa Clarita, CA

Can someone recommend a decent/fair/honest/experienced mechanic near Santa Clarita, CA.
I am approaching 90K on my 2002 SC430 so the heavy duty maintenance is coming and I would like to find a "super mechanic" nearby. I am willing to travel for the right mechanic.

Are you willing to travel to Northridge? Automotive Instincts is fantastic. They do primarily Honda and Toyota products. They are very skilled and very honest. They've been well known as a great independent shop for many years. You can't go wrong with them. I had them change the timing belt, water pump, and all the other belts on my wife's 2003 about 2 years ago. They are rock solid in all their work. Their phone number is (818) 349-5900. They are open 8-5 M-F. They are only open on the first Saturday of each month, so if you want a Saturday time, call well ahead. I also recommend Lexus of Valencia. They've always done good work for me. I have nothing but good things to say about their service department.

Thanks for the tips. I just called automotive instincts and their prices sound reasonable. $850 for basic TB, WP, belts. A few hundred more if tensioners and/or seals or pulleys are needed.

Their prices are reasonable. They're not the least expensive. But you will never regret using them.

Default Need Indy mechanic in Cochella Valley CA…

Hello , my first post. This is terrific forum, full of good questions and answers.
I recently bought a SC 430 with 48,000 miles, as close to mint as possible. I will be using it locally in the Valley, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert etc.
Can anyone suggest a good, honest, reasonable Indy Lexus-Toyota mechanic in the aria?
There are some things I want to have checked and naturally will need someone, sometime. I don’t want start looking when I am desperate for maintenance or a fix.
Thank you in advance for info. B B
Sorry if I posted in wrong area. Still trying to learn site navigation.

LOL. Hello Bubblebutt. Welcome. Normally here we would give advice etc. But this thread particularly, I can't make fun of because your new here. ;-) So I won't.

I'm in San Diego so I have no advice for you for the area of your concern. But the post you attached to to get your message out is already nine years old. Not the preffered method we use around here. But you'll learn. This is "THE" place to go for knowledge or assistance regarding the SC430 that I have found. And even though I would like more information on your new car (sounds fantastic), my recommendation to you might be to check the local area of Palm Springs. You have "Shottenkirk Desert Lexus" at Cathedral City and that sems to be about it. You can check the local rags, i.e. the Reader if they have it there. Talk to your friends too and see where they take their cars. You have a gem. There should be nothing that really needs to be done to it for awhile accept fluid changes. Stay out of the wind storms and protect that paint. Good luck.

Raven, you are too kind. I was bad and don’t know why I goofed. I’ll say, I was just too excited over this little monster! I was not going to buy another 2nd car. I sold my ‘06 Corvette Stingray convertible, 16,000 mi and my ‘15
SL 400, 36,000 mi last November. I sold the SL in a market parking lot. The buyer saw it and waited for me to come back to the car, no signs or advertising. Unbelievable offer and we were at AAA the next day! The big car lol is a ‘20 Cad Xt with every extra offered. Found at a dealer up north. Only had 1000 mi and dealers wife said it was too big for her to drive. I wish I had all the cars I have owned in a big garage and choose my ride at anytime.
Take care, thanks and see YOU on the forum. BB
