Default Loose driver's seat?

I wonder if anyone has noticed this issue: When I come to either a hard stop or apply my brakes hard while on the highway I can feel a slight shift of the seat forward (as if it is tilting forward) and then when I accelerate again I feel it rock back into place. I only weigh about 150lbs so I doubt it has to do with that. It's minimal and I think it started at around 50K miles (so, just a couple thousand miles ago). Im just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their car. Thanks!

Not on my car, but the dealer will be able to take care of your problem.

I think it's obvious he's asking CL because he wants to avoid the stealership.

As for the problem I've had that problem ever since I bought the car used. At first it was annoying but I got used to it.

The seat is anchored to the body. You need to check if the bolts holding down the seat assembly is not loose. This is a safety concern. Not critical, but may turn into an issue of not checked.

Agree - check those bolts. My 2002 with 125K miles is rock solid on both seats. No play anywhere.

I have this exact same problem on my 2006 with 92K miles. I have had this issue ever since I bought the car used and figured it was just nature of the beast. Please let us know what you find!!

Thanks. Brian

Got home and played with the seat. It is definitely loose to the floor. You can see the entire track move. My problem is, I can't figure out where the bolt is to tighten. LOL! I thought I'd look and see the head of a bolt staring at me, but I don't get it. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance. Brian

It feels solid to me if I try to rock it. I really only notice it in the circumstance I described in my first post. I have read on the boards here that this has been an issue on some older lexus models but that it had nothing to do with the bolts anchoring it to the floor. Rather, it was something internal that has to do with the mechanism that allows one adjust the seat bottom. I dont know if it makes a difference but I tend to drive with the seat as low (ie: close to the floor) as possible.

It's not just that they are a "stealership," they (I've tried more than one down here) have proven time and time again to be completely incompetent.
