...you might try some 3m double sided tape also. I've used the super strength emblem tape for a similar situation & it sticks really good...almost too good...good luck

Lol this happened to me also. I took one of those wire hangers and shaped it like a hook.. after 30 min of poking around i got it out lol man it was annoying.

Shawn - im not sure wat kind of bulb you dropped but mine was those small T ones with square top (9 smd).. anyhow, keep trying itll come out eventually. goodluck

So I will try again today but after about two hours using a metal hanger, and even trying a high suction vacuum at the local car wash, no luck. Went to Lexus to gauge the damage, having it removed would cause. Lexus quoted $138, local shop quoted $50-$75. What do you think? Or should I go for it myself? Can anyone supply directions for the bumper drop and headlight removal please (just in case)?

DarthSid might be onto something here actually... Try some clear half inch flexible tubing from the local hardware store. Perhaps about one foot in length. Duct tape one end of the tubing to the end of a shop vac if you have one avail. You may need about 5 or 6 strips of duct tape to avoid any loss of suction obviously, but if done properly all of the suction from the shop vac will be directed through the clear flexible tubing. Then go after the bulb! Sounds silly enough it just might work. Heck if you have no shop vac, you could purchase one plus the tubing for the price of having the Lexus dealership remove the bulb. That way it will always be at your beck and call in the future...

I tried with double sided tape, but that almost got stuck inside the light so gave up and took the bumper off.

GOT IT OUT!!! HOORAY!!! So after buying a $13 1 1/8 inch washer drain pipe, I went to the local car wash (Fuller's) that has super powerful (FREE) vacuums, and after rigging the two hoses to connect, and about 3 bloody knuckles, I was able to fish it out after about 20 minutes! Unfortunately, the bulb broke but can't argue with the WIN for the day. Thanks for all the advice guys! It was incredibly valuable!

Haha thanks, Darth but I'll be saving money for more mods! On an unrelated note, I would still like directions on dropping the bumper, please. I'm interested in redoing my side-shine LED's to sit further back below the headlight housing. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I actually got a full set of cob headlights for another car at home.. man they are crazy bright, and way better then HID kits.. im planning to get my hands on ones for the sc's fogs and replace the DRL's from smd to cob.. anyone else try the highpower cobs yet?

It's funny how I read most of us spend our time trying to fit our big hand through some little holes just to change light bulb to only get it all bloody or scratched up. Also, it pisses most of us off. From my experience digging your hand through the car and trying to find the light bulb you will end up spending the same amount of time taking the front bumper off and you won't be pissed off. Front bumper is not hard to take off believe me. I think taking the radio out is harder than front bumper. Just my opinion and my experience.

its retarded how complicated changing a bulb is in this car.. Specially the fogs.. those pins in the fog are just garbage. The most retarded one was for the mercedes glk.. the headlight bulb .. very poorly designed, it took me 1 hr to get the bloody pin its place to hold the bulb, and it kept falling out of its place as I would try to clip it in from opposite end.. fog light is whatever but headlight and being that complicated? im just wondering if they were thinking about what people would do if they were out far and a bulb went out.

OMG!!! It's way to hard to change the Fog light bulb without taking it out or you have to be able to see what you are doing not just reaching and guessing because the pin has to snap on a certain way. If you can do it without looking and just feeling much props to you!!!

Can you tell me specifically which LED bulbs & manufacturers you used as I will do all at once while I'm at it. Don't want to have to do this again!
