They're not fantastic - it's hard to capture! But they'll give you an idea.

Here's another place to try: it's an English online Toyota brochure site in Japan. Scroll downabout 12 cars till you find the Soarer S430.

There's a photo gallery and you should select Blackish Mica Red, which is the Japanese equivalent:-

It's not brilliant - but in my opinion no photograph has ever yet
done justice to the colour, because it actually isn't 'a colour'.

It's a wondeful canvass that changes as the light changes. In low light it looks black. In strong sunshine it's the deepest, most gorgeous purple you can imagine! At other times it's somewhere in between.

You have to try and find a dealer who can show you one in the flesh.

Not bad at all.

Those last two show the true 'purple' side of the colour quite well.

Compare those with the cloudy day 'black' shots of my car in the Picture Gallery and you get a pretty good idea

it was a 2002 with 2700 miles and they wanted 56k for it

Those pics posted don't look like the Twilight Amethyst color on the 2005 SC430. Does anyone have pictures of this color, or does it really look as dark as the pics posted above?
