Yes, it really looks as dark, & under dimmer lights, it's undistinguishable from black. I know, I have one in my garage .

It looks just like the photos posted above. Most people think my car is black until they see it in the sun. I get lots of complements on the color.

My first view of the SC430 was at the 2000 New York International Auto Show. *It's paint color was*Twilight Amethyst Pearl. This color became one of my favorite colors to see the SC430 in. *Problem is when you search this color on ClubLexus there are only about Five Picture. *So if you have a*Twilight Amethyst Pearl SC430 please Post a few Pictures. *

Obsidian = "Black"
Ecru (interior color) = "Tan"
Twilight Amethyst Pearl = "Metallic Eggplant"

Sorry I don't have a pic to post but I've had my Twilight Amethyst Pearl 2005 for 4 years now and I love it. Get lots of compliments on the unique color. It's not a common color for the SC430 so people notice.

I can tell you for sure that all the pics in this thread are genuine representations of what a TAP colored SC430 could look like. Definitely looks like a number of different colors in different light conditions. Black at night, deep brownish purple in low light and a rich classy purple in bright light. Absolutely love it !
