My sc430 2002 is the perfect car for me. It looks great, economical (have replaced the radio antenna , two interior light bulbs, service is $ 150.00 per year, the most comfortable car I have ever ridden in, retractable hard top, with plenty of power. What else is there?

Your 07 will but not an 02. There are differences. Even the seat reclines further back in an 07 than an 02. 07's engine is also tuned differently. Not to mention an overall newer car VS a 2002.

I just never considered gas mileage as a factor when buying a car like this.
I think that's probably true of most SC owners even though we're still aware of the amount of fuel we put in the tank for a given number of miles. Regarding the possible difference in fuel economy of a '02 vs. '07 model, I believe most folks who actually know about these cars would agree there is no difference in the engine tune and any improvement in fuel economy can be attributed to the six speed tranny of the '06 and newer models. I have no complaints regarding the fuel economy of my '06.
